Collezione Maramotti | Artpod - Art for the Ears

Podcast in collaboration with Doppiozero

Collezione Maramotti is pleased to present the first four English-language instalments of the Artpod - Art for the Ears project.

Launched in 2021, Artpod is a podcast series about iconic works from the permanent collection, explored through the words of authors who write for the non-profit cultural web magazine Doppiozero.

In addition to the many episodes read in Italian by actors from Ravenna’s Teatro delle Albe company, four of them are now available in English, to offer international listeners an innovative take on some of the most significant paintings and sculptures in the collection.

The first four audio pieces can be found on Spotify, on Collezione Maramotti’s YouTube channel, and on the Doppiozero website. Claudio Franzoni, a scholar of ancient art, will tell us about the fragments and stitches in Alberto Burri’s Nero con punti rossi (1956); actor and playwright Chiara Lagani guides us through the nuances of Gerhard Richter’s Kleine Liegender Akt (1967); novelist and art critic Melania Mazzucco unpacks the transcendent world of Anselm Kiefer’s Ohne Titel (1984); theatre critic Massimo Marino presents Barry X Ball’s striking sculpture Matthew Barney (2000-2003). Enjoy the podcast!
